Our Big Blue Backyard is a blue-chip series that dives deep into the seas to discover stunning stories of New Zealand’s native ocean animals.
​
The series travels south to north, with each series exploring six very special environments and each episode structured around an ocean “neighborhood”, featuring the colorful and varied inhabitants as they interact in their unique locations. The range and behaviors of these species in such close proximity is fascinating, from the giant to the tiny and the acrobatic to the rock scrapers - there is plenty of action in these aquatic communities.
