NHNZ WORLDWIDE is an Emmy-winning, specialist factual documentary production company focused on turning the best story ideas into great television.

We are literally wild about storytelling, and aim to show both humans and animals at their most adventurous and most intriguing.  After such successes as 111 episodes of human triumph in I SURVIVED for A&E, and the cinematic wonder of MYSTERIOUS PLANET for the launch of Discovery+, we have now added development of projects in entertainment, formats, sports, adventure and lifestyle programming.

NHNZ Worldwide has offices in Dunedin and Auckland, New Zealand, and staff based in the US, the UK and China.  The company has built a strong team of global production partners, recently completing projects for NatGeo Wild, Channel 5 UK, PBS, TLC, HGTV, Love Nature, Curiosity Stream, Arté, TVNZ  and National Geographic.

NHNZ was founded 46 years ago as the Natural History Unit of Television New Zealand then bought by Fox International Channels in 1997.  The company is now owned by CEO Dame Julie Christie who was the founder of international format producer Touchdown Productions.  Julie was made a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2017 for Services to Governance and Television.
