WILD 24 celebrates the eternal rhythm of light and dark in different locations around the world, revealing the behaviours of a myriad of animals that battle it out to survive over 24 hours in these exotic, but demanding environments.
Africa’s Savannah - The great African Savannah, stretching across twenty-five countries. Over two million mammals live on these dry grasslands. Here an ancient battle for survival has played out for millions of years, between the carnivores and the herbivores and everything in between.
Chile’s Atacama - The Atacama Desert in Northern Chile. This six hundred mile plateau is considered by many to be the driest place on planet Earth. Here a remarkable group of animals and plants survive with almost no rainfall. This unique desert is flanked by the Pacific Ocean on one side and the foothills of the Andes on the other.
The Devil's Island - From the forested, temperate wildness to the frigid coastal waters of the southern ocean, this is a snapshot of the extraordinary lives of the southernmost Australian animals over 24 hours.
