Synopsis:
Turning Taiwan’s trash into a treasure. Following the mantra of “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”, the Eco Ark pavilion is hailed as the world’s lightest, movable, breathable environmental achievement and sets the standard for the future of green buildings. The nine-storey high pavilion is largely built out of recycled polyethylene terephthalate, or PET, bottles. It weighs 50 percent less than a conventional building, yet it is strong enough to withstand the forces of nature, including fire.
