For more than 2 000 years the ancient Great Pyramids of China towered over the fabled Silk Road and the legendary Terracotta Army near the city of Xian, their secrets buried and largely ignored. These enormous structures, built in preparation for an afterlife of China’s Emperors and other royalty, hold riches beyond belief. Now a team of archeologists, historians and engineers, armed with the latest technology, are trying to unlock the mysteries of these forgotten monuments to one of the ancient world’s most powerful civilizations.
