Synopsis:
South Korea is one of the world's economic powerhouses, but to remain competitive, the internal transport infrastructure needs to be improved. In the mid-1990s the South Korean government decided a high-speed rail link between Seoul and the port city of Busan was needed - a link cutting through some of the world's most difficult and mountainous terrain. Meeting obstacles at every turn, construction of the KTX high speed railway was an exercise in innovation and problem solving, but the incredible result is a true marvel of modern transport technology.
