Synopsis:
Its breathtaking shape defied every engineering and construction rule in the book. The original plans were radical and impossible to build using existing technology, but the designers faced the challenges and responded with innovative, inventive answers. The building was as controversial as it was complex and in 1966 amid massive public outcry, designer Jorn Utzon left Australia and the job, leaving the interiors of the opera house to be finished by others. Fast forward to modern times, and the famous and loved icon is due for a makeover. Jorn Utzon has been reinstated as designer, creating the final chapter of one of the greatest design stories of recent history.
