NHNZ is rearranging its trophy cabinet to make room for two new awards it has won in the past five days.
On Saturday (September 5) the Dunedin-based documentary maker was awarded the inaugural International Achievement Award by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key at the Qantas Film and Television Awards.

NHNZ managing director Michael Stedman said he was "immensely proud" of the win adding that "everyone in the NHNZ team has played a very significant part in winning this award".
"The International Achievement Award recognizes the spectacular work carried out at NHNZ. The team's commitment to the production of great films and their pursuit of excellence in the international market has allowed NHNZ to forge a place in the global world of television that is truly remarkable."
The Qantas Awards celebrate the cream of New Zealand's film and television industries, and were celebrated at a glittering gala event in the Civic Theatre, Auckland. More than 750 guests witnessed the presentation of 39 awards across news and current affairs, general television, documentary and film categories.
The International Achievement Award recognises a business in the New Zealand film and television industries that demonstrates both commercial success in the international business arena and a commitment to developing a business model that is capable of further international expansion.
On Thursday (September 3) NHNZ also received a special commendation at the American Chamber of Commerce (NZ) Awards in recognition of the company's contribution as one of New Zealand's most significant exporters to the US.
NHNZ was one of seven finalists in the category for companies with exports to the US exceeding (NZ) $5m a year.
Global dairy giant Fonterra took out the category award along with the supreme award.
In view of NHNZ's overall achievements the judges awarded their first ever Certificate of Recognition stating that, "NHNZ's world class television production and innovative documentary storytelling keeps them ahead of the competition. NHNZ is an example of a NZ production company taking on the world."
The American Chamber of Commerce awards recognise trade between companies in the US and NZ - importers and exporters.
