Caroline is responsible for identifying and developing new markets and products for NHNZ's content, extensive footage library and video products. This includes identifying opportunities in new and emerging media and repurposing existing content for the home video, education and exhibitions markets. Caroline's focus is to grow the company's stock footage business through NHNZ Moving Images online archive.

Olly Rudd

Stock Footage Content Specialist

Olly has ten years experience in the footage archive business. He graduated with honours in physics from Lancaster University, before moving to New Zealand from the UK in 1994. He then completed a Diploma for Graduates in Zoology & Ecology and Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Ecology at the University of Otago. His understanding of the natural world, combined with an in depth knowledge of the NHNZ archive, is applied to sourcing the right footage for your story.

Jamie Thorp

Jamie Thorp

Stock Footage Content Specialist

Jamie as over nine years experience working for NHNZ Moving Images, logging and selling stock footage. Over this time period Jamie has gained a lot of experience and insight into the stock footage industry, as well as an intimate knowledge of what NHNZ’s stock footage library holds. Jamie joined NHNZ after studying zoology and ecology for six years at the University of Otago.  His background in life sciences is useful when dealing with NHNZ’s large collection of natural history footage and helping fulfil client’s needs when looking for stunning wildlife footage.

Footage Logger and Researcher

Katie has been working in TV and short film for longer than she cares to remember. She has a wide knowledge of the process of researching, writing and making stories for broadcast, mainly working in children’s television, which included being an animated penguin for ten years. For the last two years Katie has worked at NHNZ as a tape logger and researcher for several productions.

Stock Footage New Business Development

Renee believes a practical approach and sense of humour are essential to enjoying life, and is a notion she takes everywhere. The study of photography and gaining of a University Degree in Design Studies further realised the desire to work in a creative industry. After 5 years as a designer specialising in advertising, Renee joined NHNZ and her role as Content Specialist is an opportunity to help her clients realise their vision, “I love thinking of the footage outside of its original context and really visualising a new application for the material.”

Denise McInnes

Denise McInnes

Library Asset Manager

Denise is the Library Asset Manager for NHNZ Moving Images. She has worked in the Library for four years applying her skills and experience to managing the library’s catalogue and assets. Graduating with a history degree, she has worked in several subject areas: agricultural research, medicine and dentistry, and New Zealand history prior to joining NHNZ, and has been employed in specialist, public and university libraries. Her Master of Arts degree in Librarianship was on how libraries had undertaken the conversion of records for online catalogues, again topical as we move from a tape to a digital environment.
